Entercom Expands Reach of St. Louis’ Iconic News Radio 1120 AM KMOX to 98.7 FM

Entercom expands the reach of News Radio 1120 KMOX (KMOX-AM), the voice of St. Louis. The station will simulcast on 98.7 FM translator as News Radio 98.7 FM KMOX and will be heard throughout the city’s business district including downtown, Clayton, midtown, Creve Coeur, Maryland Heights and Kirkwood, effective March 22.

Also on March 22, the station welcomes the addition of “The Dave Glover Show” to its weekday programming lineup. The show, which was previously heard on sister station 97.1 FM Talk (KFTK-FM) for the last 20 years, will now be heard on News Radio 1120 AM 98.7 FM weekdays from 2:00 p.m. – 6:00 p.m. CT.

Today, Sony Music Publishing announced it has signed multi-platinum selling, award-winning pop superstar Zara Larsson to a worldwide deal.

Swedish singer-songwriter Zara Larsson is one of today’s biggest new artists in dance-pop music, known for her energetic, chart-topping anthems including “Ruin My Life,” “All The Time,” “Lush Life,” and “Never Forget You,” as well as prominent collaborations like “A Brand New Day” with BTS and “Like It Is” with Kygo and Tyga.

Recently, Zara unveiled her new single “Look What You’ve Done” from her highly anticipated new album Poster Girl, which is set to release this week on March 5.

The 12-track collection will feature her 2020 hits “Wow,” “Love Me Land,” and “Talk About Love” ft. Young Thug, which recently debuted on the U.S. Top 40 pop radio charts. Zara will be hosting an exclusive online concert on her YouTube channel for International Women’s Day on March 8, where she will be performing new songs from Poster Girl, along with many ofher top hits.

Station Welcomes AJ McCord as Afternoon Show Co-Host

Entercom announced a new weekday programming lineup for 1080 The FAN (KFXX-AM), Portland’s original all-sports radio station and the home of the Oregon Ducks, effective immediately.

As part of the new lineup, “Dirt and Sprague” with co-hosts Andy ‘Dirt’ Johnson and Brandon Sprague will transition to morning drive from 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. PT. They were previously heard in afternoon drive since 2015. Following “Dirt and Sprague,”

“The Herd with Colin Cowherd” will continue in the 9:00 a.m. to – 12:00 p.m. PT slot. The Fan is the original home of The Herd, debuting the show in 1997 before the show moved to a nationwide platform with ESPN Radio and, since 2015, Fox Sports Radio.

The station subsequently welcomes KOIN6 TV sportscaster AJ McCord as afternoon show co-host, pairing her with veteran station host Dusty Harrah in the 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. PT slot for “AJ and Dusty.”

NEW YORK – January 22, 2021 – Last night, the third annual iHeartRadio Podcast Awards brought together the most influential names in podcasting to honor the most entertaining and innovative podcasts of 2020, celebrating the incredible talent and wide variety of leaders across the booming podcasting industry. The virtual awards event was recorded from multiple locations and exclusively video streamed on iHeartRadio’s YouTube and Facebook pages and broadcasted across iHeartMedia radio stations nationwide and on the iHeartRadio App.

The virtual event kicked off with a hilarious opening from renowned actor, comedian and producer, Will Ferrell. The comedian, who is behind iHeartRadio’s “The Ron Burgundy Podcast,” broke the ice in true Ron Burgundy form, making up his own stats on both the awards show and podcasts.   • Conan O’Brien accepted the award for Best Overall Host Male. He playfully told viewers that what separates his podcast from others is his “lack of professionalism.” He even shared his advice for those interested in hosting a podcast and more.
  • Laverne Cox presented the Best Overall Host – Female award to Nicole Byer, host of “Why Won’t You Date Me.” While presenting the award, Cox inspired viewers, telling the virtual audience that everyone should have the opportunity to define who they are on their own terms. She also spoke about her first podcast launching in February 2021.
  • Dan Patrick presented the winner of The Next Great Podcast award, a months-long competition from iHeartRadio in partnership with content creation platform Tongal. Siena Jeakle and Lianna Holston won the competition with “Frankly, My Dear,” a new podcast tackling movie reviews from two friends who don't really like movies.

NEW YORK – February 17, 2021 – iHeartMedia (NASDAQ: IHRT), the No. 1 audio company in America and the No. 1 podcast publisher globally, today announced it has entered into an agreement with The E.W. Scripps Company (NASDAQ: SSP) to acquire Triton Digital®, the global technology and services leader to the digital audio and podcast industry, for $230 million, subject to certain adjustments.* With this acquisition, iHeartMedia will now be able to provide audio content to producers and advertisers with an industry-leading full ad service package for streaming and podcasting no matter their size, reach or distribution method.

The addition of Triton Digital’s vast array of infrastructure and measurement solutions will complement iHeartMedia’s current advertising technology services, data platforms and programmatic platforms while providing additional solutions for those in the digital radio industry, allowing iHeartMedia to be the first and only company in the audio market to provide four distribution methods for audio, including on-demand, broadcast and digital streaming radio and podcasting, and to service all audio assets programmatically.

The acquisition of Triton Digital is the latest of iHeartMedia’s investments in the audio technology space, and further enhances its position as the leader in audio. Most recently, in October 2020, iHeartMedia acquired Voxnest, the leading marketplace for podcasts and provider of podcast analytics, enterprise publishing tools, programmatic integration and targeted ad serving.
