ayokay “we come alive.” Out Now

Singer/songwriter/producer ayokay has released Side A of his project we come alive today via Columbia Records. The 6-song collection features 2 brand new songs “Dear Luca” and “Over & Out,” along with the previously released “Sleeping Next To You,” “Move On,” “California Will Never Rest, and “Things Fall Apart.” See full track list below.

“For this project, I wanted to reconnect with the wave of indie electronica that I grew up with, and that also paved the way for the indie pop we hear today,” ayokay says. “I focused on modernizing the sounds of these bands like MGMT, Passion Pit, Postal Service, and many more by experimenting a lot with the tempo in order to take my sound to different genres and paces. The album has its moments of colorful explosion and moments of minimal restraint, but it all comes together to form the perfect culmination of dance floor ready songs.”

ayokay will embark on his ‘we come alive.’ headline tour this Fall. The 20-show U.S. tour takes off on October 5 in Atlanta, GA and continues through November 8 in Nashville, TN. See full list of dates below.

ayokay is an indie-electronic producer known for his unique, forward thinking sound. His 2016 breakout anthem “Kings Of Summer” — featuring vocals from childhood friend and frequent collaborator Quinn XCII — blazed a year-long path to buzz-track royalty, hitting #1 on Spotify’s Global Viral charts, #1 on Hype Machine and currently soaring past 100 million streams. The song became the lead single off his debut EP, 4ft. to Infinity. His upward trajectory continued in 2017 with follow-up singles “The Shine” (feat. Chelsea Cutler), “Too Young” (feat. Baker Grace) and “Cassette,” which have done a collective 65 million streams on Spotify alone and have solidified his place in the electronic space. Last summer, he released his debut full-length album In the Shape of a Dream via Columbia Records, which Billboard said “is as evocative as it is danceable, making for a collection of tunes that are as captivating as the first video [“Sleepless Nights”] from the set.”
