Foster the People Unveil New Single “Style”

Foster the People have released brand new single “Style” today via Columbia Records – listen HERE. “Style,” which features artwork by longtime collaborator Young & Sick, follows the band’s most recent release “Worst Nites” and their multi-format, Platinum-certified hit “Sit Next To Me.” Fans can watch for the official “Style” music video to drop in the coming weeks.

Speaking about the new track, frontman Mark Foster stated, “I’ve been wrestling with certain themes since we put out Torches. I guess it’s my way of processing the law of chaos and random happenings in our universe. There is hope for the underdog. I like to fight from the ropes. I never like to feel like I’m on top of the hill. This song is another facet of that same story. When we face the question of our own mortality, we are free to live our lives without fear.”

2018 was a massive year for the band. They toured the globe on their own headline dates and joined Paramore on their After Laughter Summer Tour, while “Sit Next To Me” proved to be a huge hit. The track, described as “pure shimmering pop” by The Associated Press and named one of Billboard’s “Best Songs of 2018,” has accumulated over 260 Million global streams to date. At radio, the song hit #3 at Alternative, #19 at Top 40 and reached Top 10 at both AAA and Adult Pop. The track also received a nomination for “Choice Rock/Alternative Song” at the 2018 Teen Choice Awards, where the band performed the song live following appearances on The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon and The Late Late Show with James Corden.
