Highland Film Group to Handle International Sales for SXSW Special Jury Award Winner “Yes, God, Yes”

has today announced they have come on board to handle international sales for ’s comedy, Yes, God, Yes, which will commence at Cannes next week. Endeavor Content handles the US rights for the film.

Written and directed by Karen Maine (Obvious Child), the film stars Natalia (“Stranger Things”), (“Veep”), Wolfgang Novogratz (The Last Summer) and Alisha Boe (“13 Reasons Why”). It is produced by Katie Cordeal, Colleen Hammond, Maiden Voyage’s Eleanor Columbus (Patti Cake$) and RT Features’ Rodrigo Teixeira (Call Me By Your Name, The Lighthouse) and executive produced by Maiden Voyage’s Chris Columbus (The Help, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone), RT’s Lourenço Sant’Anna and Sophie Mas, and Maine.

High school is hard, Catholic school is harder. Set in the early 2000s, Alice (Dyer), a strait-laced student devoted to God, discovers more than she bargained for when she dives too deep into an AOL chatroom for local hook ups. Now struggling with newfound temptation, Alice looks for answers, but only finds carnal knowledge. Through a roller coaster of emotions and sexual urges, Alice learns when it comes between the forbidden fruit and the word of God, human nature is undefeated. 

Yes, God, Yes won a Special Jury Award for Best Ensemble at this year’s SXSW Film Festival, where it received glowing reviews.

At Cannes, Highland will be selling Vaughn Stein’s Inheritance starring Lily Collins and Simon Pegg; Jonathan Milott and Cary Murnion’s Beckystarring Lulu Wilson and Simon Pegg; Dimitri Logothetis’ Jiu Jitsu starring Nicolas Cage; Marc Meyer’s thriller We Summon the Darkness starring Alexandra Daddario; Trauma Center starring Bruce Willis; Michael Polish’s Axis Sally starring Al Pacino; Southland starring Bella Thorne and Jake Manley; Skylines, the third chapter of the successful franchise, starring Lindsey Morgan;  and Ghosts of War starring Brenton Thwaites, Theo Rossi and Skylar Astin.
