iHeartMedia Chicago Names Matthew Harris WGCI Promotions Director

The iHeartMedia Chicago Region has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing six stations comprised of CHR, AC, Hip Hop and R&B, New Country and Contemporary Inspirational music formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and more live programming than any other media company. As Promotions Director, Harris will be responsible for managing and executing promotional campaigns and events for 107.5 WGCI that deliver a strong return on investment for clients reaching consumers through iHeartMedia’s unmatched assets, including on-air, online, social media, personalities and live events. He will report to Echo Robinson, Director of Marketing and Promotions for iHeartMedia’s Chicago Region.

“Matthew brings more than 10 years of promotions and programming experience to our marketing and promotions team,” said Matt Scarano, President of iHeartMedia Chicago’s Region. “We are excited for the new promotional opportunities he’ll be creating for our advertisers and listeners.”

Harris joined iHeartMedia Chicago in late 2017 as part of the programming team. He previously worked at Cumulus Media in Peoria, Illinois, where he rose from Promotions Assistant to Promotions Director for the market’s five radio stations. He also served as an afternoon drive and night host for WZPW-FM and WIXO-FM in Peoria.  Harris is a graduate of Bradley University.
