IHEARTMEDIA NAMES MARC SHERMAN REGIONAL SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT OF PROGRAMMING

Houston – March 1, 2019 – announced today that Marc Sherman has been named Regional Senior Vice President of Programming for the New Orleans and market, effective immediately. iHeartMedia New Orleans and has a strong cross-platform presence and includes a number of iconic brands and franchises — both broadcast and digital — encompassing more than 14 stations comprised of music, talk and news formats.

iHeartMedia has the leading consumer reach and influence across multiple platforms and delivers more live programming than any other media company. As Regional Senior Vice President of Programming, Sherman will be responsible for the development of local programming strategies, including overseeing on-air content, digital strategy, music programming and on-air personalities. Sherman will report to Eddie Martiny, Region President of HeartMedia Houston, New Orleans and Baton Rouge.

Sherman joins the New Orleans and Baton Rouge markets from iHeartMedia Houston, where he served as Senior Vice President of Programming. In addition, he served over 20 years as Program Director for Sunny 99.1 and oversees programming for iHeartMedia Houston’s market 94.5 The Buzz, 93.7 The Beat, AM 740 , SportsTalk 790 and AM 950 KPRC. He began his career at WJET Radio with Jet Broadcasting and is a graduate of Clarion University of Pennsylvania.
