Kanye West's new album Yandhi, initially announced to debut September 29th, will be pushed back to November 23rd.
The September release of the album, Kanye's third this year (after Ye and Kids See Ghosts, his Kid Cudi collaboration), was initially announced by the artist over a series of tweets on Sept. 17th and 27th. His wife Kim Kardashian West announced yesterday via Twitter that it will be instead released on Black Friday, November 23rd.
Yandhi‘s initially promised September release followed recent controversy around the rapper's ‘Saturday Night Live' performance, where he performed in a Make America Great Again hat followed by a post-show political rant. The rant was caught on camera by Chris Rock and released on the internet. Additionally, the September release schedule would have immediately followed Lil Wayne's Tha Carter V album drop, which is already expected to have the third-largest streaming week ever.
