Buzzing duo Loote (comprised of Emma Lov and Jackson Foote) release their emotional new song“tomorrow tonight” from their much-anticipated EP titled lost due June 14. Their new EP is extremely personal and explores diving into new love, because that is something Emma recently experienced. Loote finds it easiest to write songs based on their own real-life experiences. There aren’t as many pure breakup songs on the EP because that’s no longer a reality in their lives. “tomorrow tonight” follows hot on the heels of the buzzed about song “85%” ft. gnash which is the first song and music video (which has over 5.7 million views) released from their forthcoming EP. lost follows the announcement of Loote joining singer/songwriter Betty Who on tour starting May 22 in NYC and wrapping on June 16 in Los Angeles.
On the new track, Emma states, “In April of 2018, we were staying at this house in Beverly Hills with two of our friends – one of whom is a frequent collaborator of ours. One of the last nights in the house, we were all particularly emotional about different aspects of our lives. It was really a month of change for all of us. We all happened to be in the kitchen playing a song Jackson and I had written that day with someone else and I just remember everyone started tearing up out of nowhere. Jackson suggested we use that feeling as fuel – because he’s either nuts or a genius, I honestly can’t tell. That’s how we wrote “tomorrow tonight,” and we kept that mentality going throughout the process of making this EP.”
If unfamiliar, Loote who recently surpassed 250 million global artist streams released their latest song “85%”ft. gnash in March alongside “Better When You’re Gone,” their collaboration with David Guettaand Brooks. The single followed up “Back Together,” the final track from Loote’s well-received debut EP, SINGLE., which contained “Your Side of the Bed” and “Longer Than I Thought” with Joe Jonas.
