Darren Davis, Vice President of Programming & Operations for Clear Channel Radio Chicago, announced today that Melissa Forman will return to hosting mornings on 93.9 WLIT starting Monday, October 22, 2007.
“I obviously made a mistake in replacing Melissa a year ago, and the ratings have suffered,” said Davis. “To be frank, I simply underestimated Chicago’s love for Melissa. But Chicago has spoken, and Chicagoland clearly wants to hear Melissa on The Lite every morning. I’m just thrilled to have Melissa back where she belongs. She’s been very classy through the whole process.”
Forman hosted mornings on 93.9 WLIT for five years before being replaced by Whoopi Goldberg in August 2006. Earlier this year, Forman returned to the station to host afternoons. In her new role, Forman will host both mornings and afternoons on 93.9 WLIT. She will be heard weekdays from 5:30AM to 8:30AM and again from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. “Melissa will be people’s drive time companion on The Lite, while Robin Rock handles the important workday in between,” said Davis.
