Entercom Communications announced hat 790 The Ticket has renewed and extended its partnership with the Miami HEAT, the three-time NBA Champions, in a five-year agreement through 2021. The Miami HEAT games and related programming have been on 790 The Ticket since the 2010-11 season, and will remain on the station into the next decade.
“We look forward to continuing our partnership with the Miami HEAT and giving our listeners exclusive game-day programming, unique insights and access to the team they know and love,” says Doug Abernethy, Entercom Miami’s Vice President and General Manager. “This partnership exemplifies our dedication to providing world class coverage of Miami sports.”
The HEAT announcers Mike Inglis and John Crotty will continue to call the games for 790 The Ticket listeners. Tommy Tighe will provide the pre-game, halftime and post-game reporting. Jonathan Zaslow, host of the popular Ticket morning show, will continue as host of The Ticket pre-game and post-game show.
The Ticket will also continue its exclusive specialty programming during the HEAT’s season. “15 Minutes of HEAT,” a snapshot of the daily HEAT news, will be heard at 6:20 am, 8:20 am, 2:20 pm and 5:20 pm, Monday to Friday. “Dos Minutos,” a two-minute recap on past and current HEAT games will be hosted by Jonathan Zaslow at 2:55 pm on weekdays. “HEAT Weekly” will remain in its usual spot and will be hosted by Tommy Tighe at 10 am on Saturday mornings beginning in October.
“790 The Ticket has been the home of some of the most exciting and memorable moments in HEAT history,” said Eric Woolworth, President of HEAT group Business Operations. “This new agreement will ensure that HEAT fans will continue to tune their dial to 790 The Ticket to get all of the news, information and exciting live game action surrounding their Miami HEAT.”
