GRAMMY-NOMINATED ARTIST MIKE POSNER ANNOUNCES NEW ALBUM, A REAL GOOD KID
You may know him for taking a pill in Ibiza but Metro Detroit’s own Mike Posner is a certified grammy-nominated, worldwide multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter and producer who has worked with the likes of Big Sean.
Posner is known for “I Took a Pill in Ibiza,” and “Cooler Than Me”) but his long-awaited third album entitled “A REAL GOOD KID” will be released on January 18, 2019, via Island Records.
According to Universal Music Group, “Song About You,” the first track released off the upcoming album, strikes a recognizable chord inside everyone who’s had their own unique thermonuclear meltdown of the heart: “I think I miss something I never had,” Mike sings. The track has already amassed over 20 million streams and hit the charts on three radio formats (Top 40, Alternative, Hot AC).
The creation and completion of A REAL GOOD KID is a long time coming because Posner put his life on as he moved back into the house outside Detroit where he grew up, in order to stay with his terminally ill father during his final months. The album, which tells his story, deals heavily with love, loss and eventually acceptance.
