Ami Patel Brings Entertainment Experience From iHeartMedia
There’s a new music and entertainment executive at the Forum in Inglewood, California.
The Madison Square Garden Company announced on Monday that Ami Patel will serve at the Vice President of Artist Relations & VIP Services at the Forum. Patel will be tasked with overseeing all internal and external ticketing, and on-site VIP and celebrity management for the famous arena.
“I am thrilled to join the incredible team at the Forum,” began Ami Patel. “In my new role, I look forward to being part of the storied legacy of the Forum and contributing to the continued success of the leading destination for music and entertainment in Southern California,” Patel added.
Meanwhile, Patel is also responsible for all VIP needs for entertainment events and other designated special projects at the venue. According to MSG, she will work closely with Rick Merrill, the Forum’s vice president of arena operations, and Geni Lincoln, the Forum’s vice president of concert bookings. Patel will report to Darren Pfeffer, executive vice president of MSG Live for The Madison Square Garden Company.

Patel brings more than nine years of entertainment experience to the Forum. Before her new role, Patel was director of national entertainment for iHeartMedia. Patel is credited with having a large role when it comes to event strategy for iHeartMedia’s 160 annual events, including event production and logistics; on-site artist relations; and local and national sponsorships and partnership opportunities. Patel also had a major role in the operations and promotional aspects of iHeartMedia’s high-profile national events, including theiHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, the iHeartCountry Festival in Austin, the iHeartRadioFiesta Latina in Miami and the nationwide iHeartRadio Jingle Ball Tour, among others.
The Forum, which is the largest indoor performance venue in the country designed with a focus on music and entertainment, is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2018.
