Music Industry Leaders to Gather in Portugal for Web Summit

The US and Europe’s leading music industry leaders and experts will gather at Web Summit from 8-10 November in Lisbon, Portugal, to showcase the impact of innovation on the music industry.

This year’s music track at Web Summit is focusing in on the increasing pace of disruption in the music industry.

In the interplay of artist, executive, startup, and consumer, speakers will debate whether technology will restore balance and create opportunities in the industry along with exploring the challenges for musicians and executives.

Global music revenues have increased by 3.2% as digital sales now account for 45% of industry revenues, overtaking physical sales of 39%. Listeners are now streaming more than ever and revenues are increasing to reflect this shift.
