BET Bringing New Crime Drama Starting Tuesday, November 13 at 9 PM ET/PT

The new series is starring acclaimed-actor and Executive Producer Ernie Hudson. What was at first supposed to developed and produced as an indie film franchise, will instead hit the airways of BET.

The Duncans are a prominent family from Jamaica, Queens living that fast and luxurious life. By day, upstanding, by night their living a dangerous secret life. Stick together or die separate is a major theme of the drama.
“Carl Weber’s The Family Business,” has a what's being called star-studded cast, led by Ernie Hudson (L.C. Duncan), and includes Valarie Pettiford (Charlotte Duncan), Darrin Henson (Orlando Duncan), Clifton Powell (Uncle Lou), Miguel A. Nunez Jr. (Harris Grant), Malik Yoba (Randy Moss), Lisa Ray (Donna Duncan), Frankie G (Juan Rodriguez), and Arrington Foster (Rio Duncan), and introduces Amani E. Boyd (Mariah Duncan) and Dylan Weber (Nevada Duncan) as the next generation of the Duncan clan.

Weber’s The Family Business novel, published in 2012, is the first in a series of novels under the same title. In fact, this first title launched eight books in what has been a popular and ongoing series about the travails of the Duncan family. The book series has sold over 3 million copies.
