Oana Ruxandra is rejoining WMG in the new position of EVP, new business channels – chief acquisition officer. She will report to WMG CEO Steve Cooper, and her role will be to help identify promising new mergers and acquisition opportunities and attract non-traditional partners.

Steve Cooper said of Ruxandra’s return:
“As our industry continues its rapid evolution, we’re seizing the moment by expanding and redefining the concept of what a global music company can be. Working with talented people across our business, Oana will seek out a wide range of partners who will help us create original, forward-thinking opportunities for our company, our artists, and our songwriters. She’s from a new, diverse generation of entertainment executives, and brings a combination of digital experience, strategic thinking, and practical business expertise to her new role.”
