Universal Music Picks NFL Executive To Lead Consumer Marketing

Weston is an accomplished , advertising and brand management executive from the National Football League.

Now Jaime Weston is moving to the music entertainment world, after being hired by to be the company’s Executive Vice President of Consumer Marketing.

According to UMG, Weston was tabbed for a newly created role, where she has been tasked with growing the global audience for UMG’s artists across platforms, products, and initiatives.

Weston will do just that by developing targeted marking strategies.

“There is nothing more unifying today than the emotional power of music,” Weston began.

“People are listening to more music more than ever before through countless new experiences, opening up nearly limitless opportunities for UMG’s artists,” Weston continued.

“At Universal Music, we’re continuing to expand the very definition of a music company by providing artists with a broad range of services that go far beyond those traditionally offered by a ,” began Dave Rocco, Universal’s Executive Vice President of .

“With Jaime’s expertise and experience, there is enormous potential to build a stronger relationship with consumers, market directly to audiences around the world and position our artists for even greater success,” Rocco added.

Rocco believes Weston time spent as the Senior Vice President of Marketing for the National Football League will be invaluable to Universal Music.

Weston is credited with leading the strategic direction and management of the NFL brand and league marketing efforts, including the NFL’s creative department, fan strategy, advertising, entertainment initiatives and brand management.

Before working for the NFL, Weston spent 10 years in marketing in various roles including e-commerce, public relations and advertising for the apparel and publishing industries.

“I’m looking forward to helping drive deeper engagement with fans and developing key consumer insights that will help our labels achieve even greater levels of success,” Weston concluded.

Weston’s at Universal Music began on Wednesday, October 24.
